Powered by four 6L6 power tubes and featuring a complex, multi-stage hybrid preamp section anchored by a duet of ECC83 tubes, the 5150 Iconic Series 80W Head provides all the firepower the modern guitarist needs in a simple-to-use format. The amplifier boasts two channels with an extra voicing on each, allowing for even more versatility.
The Green channel features an overdrive button, enabling users to transition from lush clean tones to increased gain, while the Red channel's burn button adds a fiery crunch that's ideal for blistering leads. Each channel has its own gain and volume controls, allowing for level-matching when switching between the clean and high-gain channels.
The channel two noise gate's quick attack suppresses any hiss, ensuring that all staccato riffing is articulate and crisp, not choked and choppy. The 2-button footswitch allows for quick toggling between the channels or engaging the boost button.
The Boost control provides an additional 10dB of foot-switchable volume, perfect for ensuring that solos cut through the mix. The control panel also includes shared EQ (Low, Mid, and High), global resonance and presence knobs to adjust the low- and high-end aspects of the tone, and a global reverb control to add the perfect amount of bounce and decay for any room.
Sporting a sophisticated and distinctive EVH style, the 5150 Iconic Series 80W head is wrapped in black textured vinyl with a brushed aluminum front panel and black steel grille featuring silver and black 5150 and EVH logo badges.
The bundle includes the EVH 2257400010 5150 Iconic Series 80W Amplifier Head, the EVH 5150III 2 x 12 Inch Straight Front Speaker Enclosure Cabinet, an EVH Premium Quality Durable 6.49-Feet Speaker Cable with Heavy-Duty Barrel Jacks for signal transfer, and an EVH Premium 14-Feet Oxygen Free Copper Instrument Cable with Two Straight-End Switchcraft Plugs.
